"I am good guy"

Another amazing week in Taiwan! This week went by super fast. It didn't rain at all this week which was super surprising, but meant that it was EXTRA hot with no rain to cool us down haha.

Early in the week we had a lesson with our most progressing investigator, and we were going to teach him the Word of Wisdom and Law of Chastity commandments. We were worried how he'd react and if he's be willing to keep these. After we explained them to him, we asked him what he thought and if he'd commit to living these commandments. He looked up and in his very broken English said, "I am good guy. I already do!". Elder Jorgensen and I were SO pumped after that lesson. His baptismal date is for the 9th of next month and I really feel like he'll be ready by then.

One random miracle that happened this week is Elder Jorgensen and I were sitting in a small street food vendor eating lunch, talking about missionary work, and then out of nowhere a lady gets up and asks us about our Church! We ended up sitting down with her right then and gave her the first lesson. She already has met with us another time but we had to pass her off to the Sisters since we aren't allowed to teach women. She's such a prepared soul and I really hope things work out with her! This week we met a lot of people from out of our area that we had to pass off to other missionaries, which is really frustrating, but the important thing isn't who's teaching them, but that they're being taught.

We had 4 investigators with us at Church this week and it was super fun to sit in the pew with all of them. There's nothing like going to Church with people for the first time or hearing them pray for the first time. You can really see the change the Gospel brings into people's lives even from the start of one lesson to the end. The biggest thing that changes the lives of our investigators and helps them build their faith/testimony is the Book of Mormon and prayer. If they're doing that daily then the change in them is so apparent. I haven't realized the important of daily prayer and scripture study until I came out on my mission.

We got to have Family Home Evening with a part-member family this week! The mom is a member but the dad is not. Their two kids are 3 and 5 and absolutely adorable! We taught about prophets and played some games with them. The best feeling is helping families grow closer together. There are more miracles each week than I have time to write, but the most important thing I've realized is how the Lord's hand is in everything. Never pass off the small things as just a coincidence.
