New Phones, New People!

These weeks keep flying by! On this upcoming Thursday I'll hit the 6 month mark on my mission. I feel like I just got here yesterday, it's crazy! This week our mission started to use Smart Phones. It's super funny when we show it to our investigators or members because the phone we used to have...didn't even really have keys on it anymore. It's really a blessing to be able to use Smart Phones because we're able to communicate with our investigators so much easier and get from place to place quicker.

At the start of this week we ate dinner at Robin's house. He met with the missionaries about 4 years ago and was willing to start meeting with us again. He's a really nice guy and loves to hang out with us. He doesn't have a ton of interest right now to be baptized, but we're starting him on The Book of Mormon and I know if he really earnestly reads it and prays about it, the will gain a testimony of it's truthfulness.

At the free English class we teach each week, the 1st hour is all teaching English, and then the last 30 minutes is a spiritual share. We do the spiritual share in hopes that one of the students will have interest in learning more about our message, and this week we had 2 people afterwards willing to set up with us to learn more! It was a very cool miracle to see.

Li Zhi Long (李志隆) and Huang Yi Zhong (黃義忠) continue to progress super well! We began to share commandments with Li Zhi Long and finished sharing the commandments with Huang Yi Zhong. They both had no problem with anything and were willing to commit to obey the commandments. Huang Yi Zhong brought us a huge piece of paper filled with tons of notes from what he read from The Book of Mormon the previous week, it is so cool to see how his testimony of The Book of Mormon has grown! Both of their baptismal dates are on the same day, 12/16! They are doing so well right now that we may even move their date earlier! One funny thing is that every time we leave Huang Yi Zhong we say, "We love you!", and he replies with, "I love you too...". Maybe it's not that funny but I love it hahaha.

This week we also met with Ginna (has an 8 year old kid that might come with her for the next lesson), Micheal (28 year old, married with a kid), and Tony 李 (20 year old in his sophomore year of college). I love being able to meet so many different people, it's such a special experience to get to know them and get so close to them through teaching them about the joy of this Gospel!
