淡水 (DanShui) and the 3 Reds!

I would say this was another best week, but I think I say that every week. This week we met a few awesome new people including Mr. Gao and his son who are from China (met at Starbucks), Andy (20 or so years old and leaving to go to school in America next week) and Mr. Lu (met from calling formers).

First I'll explain the title. On Saturday we had a Ward activity in the northern part of the island playing basketball versus another Ward. We had two investigators that came. Allred and Annie. They both loved the activity and got to meet a lot of members. We got home from the activity, showered, had a couple lessons and then ran to another activity at night near the temple and Taipei. It was a concert by one of the family members of a missionary still serving here. They sang a lot of awesome songs and it was another great spiritual experience for our investigators. Overall the day flew by and our investigators that attended the events progressed a ton. The day after, on Sunday, Annie attended a new convert Fireside and it really touched her. After the meeting she said she wants to be baptized and speak at the next Fireside. Many blessings from the Lord.

We also tried a little bit of basketball finding this week. We went to a local park at night and play some pick up all. We played for about 30 to 40 minutes and got a setup with five young adults that we played with. We're excited to see how the meeting with them turns out. I always love to see new ways of doing missionary work being effective!

Transfer calls come out in a couple days and apparently the new Mission President is going to go crazy with the transfer calls. It is his first time arranging transfers as a Mission President and I think he wants to really change the culture of the mission. We'll see what happens.

I can't believe I turned 20 today. It's crazy how time flies. Thank you for all the birthday wishes.
