First Week in the Office

Hands down the craziest week of my mission.

Monday night we had a family home evening at the Yao family's house with our investigator Brother Yang.

Tuesday we had two people get baptized! Brother Yang and Sister Li! It was a very busy day as it was my last day in HuaLian and we had to get everything organized before I left the next day. The baptisms were really good for the ward. I've really been able to feel the faith and love within the ward change a lot. I'm super sad to leave them!

Wednesday I took the train up early from HuaLian, arrived at the mission home, drove to the airport to pick up the new missionaries, drove them back to the mission home, and then got them settled in the temple housing for the night. We ended up getting to bed at about 2am after getting them all settled.

Thursday we spent most of the day with the new missionaries, getting them everything they needed. We then assigned them with their new trainers and sent them off to their areas! After that we met with President Peterson to talk about the new transfer, exchanges with the 8 companionships of Zone Leaders, our Mission Leadership Conference, along with the several other meetings we have going on next week. We talked with him till about 1 am and then headed back to go to sleep..

Friday and Saturday were more of a ''normal'' missionary days, we had a few lessons and such, but after the day ended we went back to the office to start to work on our training's for next week and the new version of Book A (the new language study program we are making for our mission), so we did not end up getting to bed until about 1:30 am. We try to wait till after 9:30 pm to start these things because we want to be able to spend the most amount of time proselyting as we can.

Sunday we had church, lessons, got the weekly indicators reported for the whole mission, and then had an emergency, so we had to drive about an hour to pick up a missionary and move him, and then we came home. We also got to bed at about 1 am.

It's been a crazy first few days, but it's been a blast. There are already a lot of people progressing well towards baptism in this area too, I'll have to talk about them next week though.
