Meetings...Exchanges...

Crazy week. Last Monday evening our P-Day was spent driving a missionary down to the west side of Taiwan after a small emergency, and then we got back after our P-Day was over and finished preparing all of the meetings for Tuesday.

Tuesday we had a meeting with all the English Unit Leaders for the English classes throughout the mission from 8am-9am, and then 9am-11am we had a meeting with all the new District Leaders and Sister Training Leaders, and then we had our Missionary Leadership Council with all of the Zone Leaders and Sister Training Leaders from the mission. Right after MLC we started exchanges with the Central Zone Zone Leaders. I got to go with Elder Wetzel.

Thursday we visited a meeting in the Southern Taipei Zone and then went on exchanges with the Zone Leaders down there. I got to go with Elder Vance.

Friday we went on exchanges with the TaoYuan 桃園 Zone Leaders. I got to go with Elder Beus!

All of these exchanges have been super fun and uplifted. It is weird to rarely be with my actual companion, Elder Ellison. We are seeing a lot of miracles on these exchanges and meeting a lot of really cool people. We had a lesson on Sunday with a man and women named Selen and Johnson. Both of them started meeting with the missionaries a few weeks ago and are super willing to be baptized! We shared the commandments and they said they were already started to live the Word of Wisdom before we even taught them about it. Johnson has been telling his friends at work that he does not drink anymore. So much faith! It is amazing. I wish I could name everyone we are meeting and share all the miracles, but there are way too many to mention.

This week Elder Ellison and I were meeting with President Peterson and were discussing the topic of how we can get all the missionaries in the mission talk to more people on the street. We ended up preparing a training to send to all the missionaries on sharing quick, short, and powerful pieces of doctrine on the street and boldly invited people to learn more. We invited every companionship to give 20 invitations a day on the street. The missionaries got pumped about it after it was sent out and everyone has been seeing a ton of miracles, along with a raise in the amount of new investigators our mission has found this week.

The work is hastening...there is more to do than there is time.

Elder Smith
