Miracles, Miracles

Weeks are flying by! The ZhuBei 3rd ward Elders had a baptism on Saturday of Sister Zhang. It was an awesome experience! She met missionaries for the first time 12 years ago and at that time couldn't give up a few things she needed to in order to be baptized, and now 12 years later saw the missionaries on the street again and felt she needed to talk to them! It is amazing to see how God is always preparing people to receive this Gospel.

I had to translate for all the English speakers this week again in sacrament meeting... It was sort if like giving my own talks for about an hour...just kidding haha...sort of...

Bryan is getting all ready for baptism and is set to go for this coming Saturday, we are so excited!

18 year old Mr. Fan came to church again this week and is amazing. He is extremely smart and talented. He is a master at the flute and piano! Another day we're going to do a musical number in church together. He'll play the piano and I'll sing! It's an awesome chance to get him to meet the ward members too.

We met with Ross this week again and he's continually progressing. He is still working for his answer on the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. His example is amazing to me. He works night shift nearly everyday which means he works from about 8pm to 8am and then still takes the time and energy to come to church right after work and then go to work on less sleep the next day. His faith is extremely strong and I'm excited to see how the Gospel blesses him.

Also, heartbreak of the week is we dropped Shaun and Tina's family. I've taught them for the 5 months I've been in this area so far and have grown so close to them. I'm extremely sad they didn't make it to baptism, but at least I'll still be their life-long friend forever.

The miracle of the week happened Friday night when Elder Rodriguez and I were at a stop light and a young 21 year old lady named Mrs. Fan pulled up to him and started yelling at him to pull over. Long story short she met with the missionaries a year ago when at college but then when college ended she moved away and someone the contact information fell through the cracks and she's been looking for missionaries and a chapel to go to ever since. She wants to be baptized! I love being God's servant and seeing miracles everyday!
