Friends from ZhuBei 竹北, Zone Conference, and a trip to FengLin 鳳林!

Such a fun week! At the start of the week there were two converts of mine from 2 areas ago (ZhuBei 竹北) who came all the way to HuaLian 花蓮 on the East Coast from ZhuBei 竹北 and spent Sunday night and Monday with us. They are both preparing to get their Endowment at the temple in a few months. Hopefully I'll be able to go with them when they do it before I finish my mission.

Monday night we had an awesome family home evening with the Yao 姚 family. It ended with their dad playing the guitar as we all sang Hymns and Primary songs together. I miss being able to just sing songs with friends. There's such a special spirit about it.

Tuesday we had a member take us along with their non-member friend about an hour drive south down to a super rural area to go eat at a famous restaurant that grows their own clams! We ate a ton of food and then took the beach-view road home. It was basically an hour of driving along the beach. So beautiful. The non-member they brought had a great experience with us and agreed to meet with us later to teach us how to work with leather! He makes literally anything with leather for a living.

Thursday the Mission President and his Assistants came down to HuaLian 花蓮 for Zone Conference. It's always such an uplifting experience spending time with President Peterson. 

Harry came to church for the first time and loved it. He is also coming to a Family Home Evening activity tonight! Brother Yang 楊 has been moving closer and closer to baptism! He is working on stopping drinking tea right now, but is making a lot of progress. Pearl got permission to be baptized as long as her husband doesn't appose. We also got permission to baptize a member's friend who is visited from China in a couple weeks. The work is moving along!
