THE MTC DUO BACK AT IT AGAIN!
AMAZING WEEK! Last Monday for P-Day we want to an "Old Street" (老街) and it was super fun. A 老街 is basically a bunch if Taiwanese shops with cool keepsakes and random little things. It's usually also near a very beautiful place, the one we went to was near a waterfall! It was especially fun because we went together with a majority of our MTC district before we all move further away from each other on transfers. A fun story from this trip is that there was a Buddhist temple near the 老街 and long story short there was a lady who worked at the temple there that showed me how to worship in the temple. It was a fun experience!
Transfer calls came out Tuesday night and I found out my new companion was...Elder Otani!!! My MTC companion!!! He's coming up to JingMei 景美 to be Zone Leader with me. From Zone Leaders in the MTC to Zone Leaders in Taiwan together! Super fun.
Brian (an RC from Zhubei 竹北) came up with Elder Otani to help him with his bags on his way to JingMei 景美 and then Brian taught our 3 lessons with us that day! It was fun to be back with old friends teaching together about the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
We visited Leo and Crystal a few times in the hospital this week because their grandfather has only a few days left till the doctors guess cancer will take him away. We sang a few songs to them. It was a very peaceful and spritual experience.
We were blessed to find 4 new friends this week willing to learn more about the gospel! The biggest miracle was that as Elder Otani and I were eating for first lunch together we started talking to 2 people next to us. At the end of the meal they agreed to come to the chapel right then and have a tour! They committed to meet with us next Wednesday and then come to English class with us. Miracles!
Rosie has been progressing very well and came to 3 hours of church again this week and loved it. She's starting a habit of reading the Book of Mormon and praying every day! We are hoping to set a baptismal goal with her this week.
Elder Otani and I have some awesome goals and plans to keep this area on fire and we're so pumped!
