MLC, XinDian 新店 Exchanges

Another week blows by. We had MLC this week as it is the start of the transfer. It was very exciting. We got to see a lot of the members of our generation from the MTC all there together. It is super crazy because the sisters from our MTC generation go home this transfer. It's crazy how time flies.

Some of the changes at MLC include: Elders can only teach males and Sisters can only teach sisters now. At the start of the year it changed to you teach anyone that you find in your area, but it is changed back now. There are a few changes with key indicators also. However, MLC was mostly about what are mission president wants us to be focusing on now. Which is a summation of the last few transfers of training, and a new focus on building up the Kingdom of God in Taiwan. This includes focusing on finding and teaching young men and young families. We've already seen a lot of blessings as we have focused on this.

We had exchanges with the 新店 Elders this week. I got to serve with an Elder from South Korea, named Elder Park. He is an amazing Elder and is it amazing with people. It was awesome to have the chance to learn a lot from him and also try authentic Korean barbecue with him.

A cool experience is I ran into a member who was baptized a couple years ago. I found out that she was baptized by my cousin who served in the TaiZhong 台中 Mission a couple years ago. It was amazing to hear all the good things they said about my cousin and how amazing of a missionary he was. It really is a small world.

Some of our most progressing friends we are teaching right now include a college student from South Korea, a 23 year old lady named Angel, Tommy, and a few families!!! These families include the Liang family, Guo family, and the Liu family.

The most spiritual experience from the week as a lesson we have is Tommy. As we shared about eternal families and watched a portion of the Joseph Smith restoration video, he was brought to tears from memories of his own children and the thoughts that he can be with them forever. The church is true!
