Fill Up The Font!
A great week. Bryan got baptized. The baptismal service was filled the spirit. Seeing the change in Bryan from when he first started meeting with us until now has been remarkable. All of his old friends tell us all the time that they don't even recognize him haha. It's amazing to see how living the principles of the Gospel changes people. Bryan's example has also blessed so many other of our members and investigators. We have another investigator who Bryan has helped teach who is getting baptized on May 26th, named Ross.
I first found Ross in the bathroom of a McDonalds about a month ago. He's already progressed so much and felt the truthfulness of The Book of Mormon. We taught him everything in about 3 weeks and his only trial was giving up coffee. He works the night shift every day so he drinks coffee to stay awake at work. However, after we shared the Word of Wisdom with him he immediately replaced his daily cup of coffee with other things like milk, fruit, etc. He's felt much healthier and has expressed how he can noticeably feel the spirit in his life more often as he obeys these commandments. Every time I see people experience these blessings of the Gospel builds my testimony of these truths.
At the start of this week we met a 32 year old man named Jeff. He's met with us multiple times this week already and attended both Bryan's baptism on Saturday and then church on Sunday. He loves the feeling of the Spirit and the feeling of love within the church. I am excited to see his experiences as he begins to learn of this Gospel.
In terms of other new people we found and taught this week, we met: Mr. Cai, Jopay. and then two 16 year old girls who are best friends (Selina and Candice).
The story of Selina and Candice is also awesome. They met the Sister missionaries from another area Saturday night and THEY asked the Sisters when church is. The next morning they came to church and then we taught them about the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith's story right then. They were more attentive than any investigators I've taught before. I'm excited to see their experience with reading and praying on their own.
