SUPER TYPHOON turns out to be nothing.

The super typhoon that everyone was freaking out about ended up to be just a small rainstorm. We were told by our mission president to go inside early at 6 p.m. Tuesday night as the typhoon was supposed to hit the island at around that time. It turns out that the typhoon changed directions and did not hit Taiwan so we just had rain. We were inside all of Tuesday night. Wednesday all of the Taiwanese people were already given work off because the government thought the typhoon was going to be massive. So essentially nothing happened but we had some rain haha.

I went on exchanges with Elder Rhoton this week. He is on his last transfer of his mission and he is super awesome. We met an awesome guy named Martin on exchanges and had a lesson with him where he told us that the Book of Mormon was translated poorly and he could translate it better. It was an interesting lesson.

In terms of our investigators there are few progressing very well. Chris is an English class student that we met with this week for the first time and the lesson went very well.

Steve is our Catholic investigator who has been in the Catholic church for about 60 years and is not getting baptized because he fears that he will lose many friends if he does it. He already has felt the truthfulness of Joseph Smith being a prophet and the Book the Mormon. We had a lesson with him and had a member be the member present at the lesson whose husband was a Father in the Catholic Church before they were both converted into our church. The member present threw a lot of fire at Steve... It was kind of scary for me to watch haha. But it went very well.

One of our investigators who wants to get baptized as a 14 year old named Angie. We've been working with him and his family and things have been going very well. We had a dinner with his father and our Bishop and the discussion really helped the father feel better about the church and we hope to begin teaching their entire family. Lastly we have another English class student named Allred who came to church for the first time this week. He met a lot of our single adults and they seem to get along very well. I am excited to see how he progresses.

Can't believe we'll hit the mid point of the transfer this week...Time flies.
