The Reign of Otani and Smith begins

My first full week together with Elder Otani was filled with miracles!! 

The week started off with MLC. It was a blast to be with President Peterson and other missionaries! He focused on urgency and teaching simply. We are excited to focus on these things for this transfer.

I'll list a few of our miracles from this week. One was as we were walking back into the chapel in our area after MLC and there was a lady from Vietnam there hoping to come to English class. She found out when she arrived that English class was on Wednesday, not Thursday. So... Of course we just gave her a tour and taught her about Christ instead! She was willing to set back up to learn more and even came to our ward pizza activity on Saturday.

Another miracle was we got a referral from Hong Kong! Hia name is Theodore, from Hong Kong but he will be going to college here in Taiwan. He is 18 and super awesome. We set a baptismal date with him on our first meeting and he came to church the day after. Miracles!!

Another cool experience was that there were 6 senior in high school we met on the street who were willing to come to the chapel for a tour. We gave them a look around and taught them about their true identity and prayer, they were all super fascinated about it and excited to start praying on their own! 

Rosie has been progressing a lot and set a baptismal date this week too. She's come to church every week the past several weeks and a ton of activities. Her goal for baptism is 11/3! 

The highlight of the week was two baptisms that took place in my last area, 竹北 ZhuBei. Benson (a 21 year old finishing college) and Jasmine, the Bishop's daughter-in-law! It's amazing to see God guiding and hastening his work around the world. The Gospel is true!
