2019??
Crazy how time flies. How's it already 2019? It's hard to remember all that happened this week because the days fly so fast.
This week we met with Li Jia Zhen and she still has a desire for baptism. We are helping her think of ways to soften her husband's heart to allow to be baptized. Right now she said he opposes everything she does, even if it isn't related to the church. This next week we will try to write a letter with Sister Li about why she wants to be baptized and how the Gospel has blessed her life. Hopefully it works!
Arthur passed his baptismal interview!! He will be baptized this upcoming Saturday and returning back home soon after. His story is amazing! He's here as an exchange student and he is taking a religion class from our ward's bishop. One day after class he went up to our bishop and told him that he had the feeling before he came to Taiwan for school that while he was there he needed to find a religion. He started coming to church and now he is getting baptized!
This last Friday night we had a basketball activity and it was such a blast!! We had a ton of kids come, included a few older people. Two of which are coast guards that Elder Fang and I contacted last week! We're hoping they'll be willing to meet and learn a little about how message soon.
Two hour church this week was such a blessing too! With our smaller ward of only about 20 or so active members it was such less of a burden and stress on them. Everyone loved it and was so happy!
I love serving in a rural east coast area! It's so beautiful out here and the members are so faithful.
